Our neighbour has a wire ball on a long pole with a feeder inside. Small birds can fly in and out, but larger birds and squirrels can’t get in and and rats can’t climb the metal pole . I believe they are available at many garden centres

I have about 30 feeders in my back yard…
but we never see rats out here, but squirls YES.

look through what they have, then go to the store and buy it there.
